Birthday cake
Centerpeices
We started with having the kids color tool shaped pictures and decorate card stock toolboxes at the "Art Station", we then moved onto the "Drill Station" where the kids got to use real tools and drill in wood. This was a hit among most boys. After a little running around and chatting the kids played on the backhoe/tractor. The final "Station" was rides in a dump truck. Also, well liked.
After cake, was presents. I loved watching Kellen open gifts, he was so excited and couldn't get through them fast enough. He'd get so excited over the gift bags too. After he opened a gift he gave that person a thank you hug, then opened another gift, then another hug, and so on. SO dang cute! After presents we made sure that all the kids collected their hard hats, vests, chainsaws, and a thank you sugar cookie in the shape of a tool. (tool shaped items were everywhere)! But Kellen loves tools so it completely fit. I think I missed my calling as a birthday party planner. I had so much fun preparing, executing, and having the party!
