Kellen had his first T ball game this weekend! It was a 2 game jamboree (I think he was the only kid that wasn't tired afterward). He's been anxiously awaiting his "real" uniform for weeks now. Even when just playing ball for fun at home he MUST have his whole uniform on. For awhile he was sleeping with his mit. As always, when he does something he enjoys he does it whole hearted!
The boys got to pick their team name. I'm a bit surprised it didn't have something to do with ninjas, but the overall census was "Skeleton Dragons". I've been very impressed with the teams teamwork at such a young age. It's so precious to see them encourage each other and have fun no matter what! There were even a few times the kids high fived the other team when they made it to the bases. So far the skeleton dragons have whooped the "turtles". There is actually no score kept at this age but I'm pretty sure dragons would beat turtles any day :)
Kellen is probably the best one on his team when it comes to "hustling". He hustles to get the ball, get to the bases, & get the other team out. Sometimes he hustles a little too much at the T. He's use to being pitched to so going back to a T is a little different but he's re-learning it fast and has done excellent listening to the coach and following directions. You won't see this kid picking daisy's in the out field!
Our good friends the Bushelman's are coaching and Kellen is on the same team as his buddy Micheal. T ball has been fun for the whole family. Dad helps with coaching, Dylan tries his best to get on the field and has picked up throwing balls himself. Mom enjoys watching (when not chasing Dylan), taking pics (when not chasing Dylan), and being the snack mom. It's the beginning of a long season with bi-weekly games and I'm sure the Skeleton Dragons are gonna have lots of FUN!!!
Skelton Dragon's!
