Food table
For several months before the BIG day I knew I wanted to do a "very hungry caterpillar" theme. I always try to pick something that reflects the previous year and since this past year Dylan has really enjoyed eating it seemed fitting, plus I love the book, and the primary colors. I thought I was being smart and creative until I looked on pintrest and realized I was not so original after all! Oh well...Josh begged me to keep the party under control so we only invited family, which is still alot of people, and food was kept low key (mostly becuase easy food was in the book). I made the decorations, it was probably my favorite party decor to date, and it was all so easy and fun. The entire process would have been completely stress free if it werent for the cake mishaps (makenzie did a great job calming me down) and my mom being sick and unable to attend :( The weather was beautiful (even hot) and everyone had a great time. I wish we could have visited with everyone a little more, it's so hard when your tryinng to watch 2 kids and keep the party flowing. But all in all it was an amazing 1st birthday full of memories. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DYLAN!! We love you!!!!
