Aubrey's baby shower (part 1 of 3)

I've been SO excited to be an Auntie and have been looking forward to throwing my sister a shower for quite some time. When I found out she was having a girl I was over the moon and had a million shower ideas. Unfortunately my ideas were upwards of $10K and my budget was not! But by doing everything by hand (yes, I really love my sister!) and with the help of some great co workers and family we pulled off what my sister thought was the "best baby shower EVER" and that's what counts.  It all started with handmade invitations (pics later) and snowballed from there...  There were a few things a baby shower for Aubrey just had to include! Like it had to be a tea party (stems from our childhood), Shoes (we are both obsessed), her favorite foods, PINK (we both love it), and it had to be a little bit modern and a little bit vintage.
I was really hoping for an outdoor garden tea party but Oregon June weather wouldn't have it, so inside we went.  We started off the party at the Hair pretty making station (Olivia will be accessorized!), mingled, ate   ( I mean had high tea), played 2 fast games then Aubrey opened up her mother load (no pun intended) of gifts!
My mom was such a huge help the weekend of the shower, helping me grocery shop, watch kids, prepare all the food, and pack up the thousands of tupperware of the handmade decor.  My grandma also helped by bring TONS of china and the yummy pinwheels, and Makenzie helped save me in my moment of night before insanity and set up the day of! Also, thank you to my everyone else like Joanne, Apryl, Annette...My sister loved her shower and you all played a part in her special day.
I told my mom at the beginning of the day that everything had to be perfect, My goal was to exceed her expectations so much that she would tear up---Mission accomplished!!!

 welcome to the party!

Place settings (vintage china and handmade "thank you" envelopes with tea inside)
 side tables
Center table with my 25ft long fabric banner. The banner included fabric that looked like bedding Aubrey and I had when we were little and shared a room, and see sucker fabric like the little sundresses we use to wear. The whole concept of the banner, reminded me of when my mom would do our hair in "rags" to make in curly
