Another Baby Boy Nursery!

It's no surprise to anyone that a few months back I had every detail of a girl nursery picked out.  I was thrown for a bit of a loop when we found out we needed another BOY nursery.  I briefly panicked because I already did a boy room, what theme will I do now?! I didn't want the boys to have similar rooms, I didn't want anything too "baby", I didn't want to pigeon hole him into a theme, and I wanted something that would transition into at least toddler hood when he had his own interests.  Josh had a few requests. No orange accents (due to our rivals the oregon state beavers). The obvious choice was green accents, for our ducks duh! I'm thinking Josh would have had a few more request if he knew how hard he was going to have to work. But let's face it, You don't mess with a hormonal pregnant women that just got rid of everything for a pink and grey nursery!
Back to our boy nursery... I thought up a "tool theme" and shocked myself when I had endless ideas how to decorate it.  I guess I do "boy" after all.  I may have had the ideas in place but Josh will tell you the execution of my ambitions were NOT easy!
First is started with painting the room blue, then putting up custom made panelling. (I had the look in my head and in pictures, my mom made the game plan, and it was carried out by Josh and our friend Phil). This was no small task. I'm pretty sure between all of us (or maybe just me) there were blood, sweat, and tears.  This was a project that felt never ending.  I was having anxiety that we wouldn't finish by D-day, but as always my awesome husband pulled thru. And I'm so glad because the clean, white, modern walls were essential to my vision of the room. Next came new light fixtures, another not so easy task (love you honey), outlet covers (in diamond plating to stay with a garage/tool theme) and putting up the wall decor I made. Some aren't pictured but they all turned out to my liking which is surprising because I'm my own worst critic.
In the end I think I got my vision:  A modern boys room, in primary colors, and a sophisticated tool theme (if that even makes sense). The pictures below didn't turn out that great but it's ok because the room did. It's currently my favorite room in the house. Now we just need our precious baby boy to put in it :)
