(he's really into categorizing right now so he put all the "same" ornaments together on one part of the tree, the "same" of another set together on a different part of the tree, and so on...I'm a little OCD so at first I didn't know what to do, but it was so dang cute and he was so proud of himself I had to leave it. Plus it's only the bottom part of the tree :)
After Kellen's early November birthday he wanted to skip right over Thanksgiving and start preparing for Christmas. I was able to hold him off until black Friday but it wasn't easy! This year has been my favorite holiday season to date! (I've said that every year since Kellen was born, but seriously it just gets better every year).
Kellen is so excited over everything. He's been decorating the house, trimming the tree, wrapping presents (not the real ones), mostly he's been wrapping his toys and different treasures and making us open them.
I can't tell you how many times we've gone to the store to buy MORE Christmas decorations because the kid just can't get enough. My mom says it's in his genes, she's a bit of a Christmas freak herself!!
This is the first year we've told Kellen about Santa and of course he's quite intrigued. We've also been enjoying lots of hot chocolate and Christmas movies or music in the evenings, wearing new Christmas inspired PJ's. What better way to relax during the cold nights?
Good thing we've been ready for Christmas for so long because the beginning of our 4 different Family Christmas celebrations is starting soon!
